What do you truly believe?

In the Bible, it says, “Without faith, it is impossible to please the Lord.” Hebrews 11:6 This verse is plain and direct. So, what is faith? Have you ever asked yourself this important question?

Unfortunately, the word “faith” has been over spiritualized, which has left us thinking that it is something immaterial that is beyond our reach. However, nothing could be further from the truth!

Faith simply put is – what we truly believe, and where we place our trust. If the concept of faith is really that simple, then we can conclude that we are already walking by faith. We live according to what we truly believe; however, we don’t all have the same object of faith.

Some might truly believe in the priority of material possessions, social status, job/career, etc. and live their life accordingly. So then the obvious question for Christians is: What do YOU truly believe? Where do YOU place your full trust? As we self-examine, we might come to realize that although we might profess to be Christian, there is a disconnect between what we profess to believe and the true belief that is proven by our actions and attitudes.

But have faith, there is hope! Jesus is the Author and Finisher of our faith; He is the one who will hold you by the hand through your faith journey.

Prayer: Dear Heavenly Father, thank you for birthing faith in me, I believe that you are with me through my journey. I choose You, I choose to believe You. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
